Welcome to this yoga class to strengthen and release stiffness in your back. This is Day 2 of the 7 day all levels yoga course. This class will be a simple strengthening yoga practice for the back, shoulders and neck.

We will begin the class with some breath work and a gentle warm-up. We will then move on to gentle stretches for the back and then progress to deeper asanas and strengthening exercises. This yoga to strengthen your back is beginner-friendly and can be done in 30 minutes.

If you spend a lot of time at your desk, then this gentle strengthening flow is perfect to help open the shoulders and upper back in the opposite direction. This class will also help to gently increase flexibility in the spine. If you tend to suffer from stiffness in your back, it’s important to work through both strengthening and stretching exercises to help mobilize and activate your muscles. However, please be mindful and be kind to your body by taking each pose to your own ability. If you ever feel like a pose is too intense, then simply come out of the position and take a rest.
